I think it would be fun if we had inter-club drifting tournament. This way when we do get challenged we have an idea of how the tournament format is and get used to drifting under pressure. I had a few ideas, let me know what you think.

1. At least 1 DIS on a team.

2. Judging the matches:
Invite 3rd party judges, slydeways institute, or projectblkj.

3. Prizes
1st/2nd place team and select categories gets to choose a car from any member in DIS/Wikidways (if it's a car from another team the design is locked) that they've seen to be copied to them.

4. Prize Categories (prize)
a. 1st (choice of unlocked design, unless from opposite club)/2nd place team (locked design of choice)
b. best tandem run (locked design of choice)
c. cutest pair (best paintjobs) (locked design of choice)

If someone else is willing to help organize this event I have no problem making a video of the entire event.

Driftoff information:

Car: Anything under U class, RWD.

8 teams of 2 people each. If more than 8 teams sign up the top 8 teams will advance to a bracket style matchups. Same scoring criteria will apply. Final round will be best 3 out of 5. Except now teams will go into tandem battle rules. The team with the higher score going into the finals gets to choose to either lead or follow OR can choose which opponent to face from the opposing team. The teams will alternate drivers for the every run, same team goes first for the first 2 runs, then the switch. In the 5th run then the teams get to choose who gets to run, but the team which chose to lead or follow will be in the same position as their first run. Points of all 5 runs are added together and team with the highest total score is the winner.

Scoring criteria: Same to D1, FDMA rules, but impact points will be considered tandem points. 1 Judge will spectate each team member and each will give a score, the scores will be added and that's the teams score. Teams will get 2 runs, and keep the higher score of the 2 runs.

Line 0 - 30 pts

The driver must stay on the correct path on the course. Straying too far from the race line will result in points being deducted from this sector. How far the drivers are off from the inner and outer clipping zones. Anything more that an foot away from the zones points will be deducted. Hitting the clipping zones too early or too late will loose points also.

Speed 0 - 25 pts

How hard and fast the drivers attack the course will affect their points in this category. Drivers must optimize and maintain their speed as they enter and exit corners as they make their way through the course.

Angle 0 – 25 pts

Drivers should be holding the optimal angle at which a driver can maintain and control the vehicle throughout the course of the run. The angle of the vehicle will be judged as they enter and exit the corners. If a vehicle loses its drift during the run points will be deducted. If the lost of drift is major, it will count as a spin and the driver will receive 0 points for the run.

Impact 0 – 20 pts (tandem)

Impact is the category in which drivers may gain points. This would depend on how much they impress the judges and audience with the display of their skill and car control. For example, if a driver performs a 90 point rum and the entry was very impressive, extra points will be added to the total score depending on the judge. (In this case these points are awarded to the quality of the tandem drift whether the drift leader was on a clean outside line. And the follower was attempting to get close to the leader.)
