From what I've seen, and I maybe wrong, everyone in DIS uses high hp cars. I think we should have a low hp night or something and hone our skills with lightweight, low hp cars. I think it would make tandeming easier because the difference in entry speed and cornering speed is smaller than high horsepower cars.
Preferred A Class cars:
AE86
S13
S14
S15
Saab 9-3 Aero
Miata
RX-7 Savanna _________________

I myself use Lower Horsepower cars(My Miata for instance) priumarily because low HP lightweight cars tend to have a little bit of an edge on standard drift cars in acceleration. This is helpful when trying to squeeze on the inside during a tandem battle. |

I might be wrong but what you're trying to say is that the range of lateral grip is not as harsh as a heavier car thus you can throw it in a corner harder. And not lose as much traction when you get back on the throttle. _________________

YEah that makes a lot of sense ed.
I do have some low HP cars, maybe we'll have like an A class drift session soon. |

Actually running high HP is more of a waste than anything...
My experience after studying the telemetry data from my Z06 (900+hp) vs my Solstice (300 hp). The Z06 never got close to using 50% of its power compared to the Solstice that was able to use 100% of its power in a drift and corner slightly better and faster.
It should also be noted that you lose less ground or momentum in the lower ranges during weight transfer.
Actually the Solstice was 2 seconds faster on Sazuka east.
The ideal HP range you should aiming for should be around 300-400 in any given car provided base stats allow for such a number. |

I brought it back from the dead..
Mushu helped us. We lost our chicken so we used a piegon. And when the music was on. He was moving, but as we turned it off.. he stopped.
