After 6 months of putting nearly every car forza has to offer under the microscope. I have found what maybe the holy grail for both new and seasoned drifters.

Mazda. Every single car may it be a low powered MX5 all the way up to a rotary monster FD is by far the most balanced / stable cars in the game.

The inherent balance of the cars allow for predictable and controllable oversteer even on the stock tune.

The engines have no quirks either. Turbo's spool quick on all platforms (almost as If they were super charged). So no surprises when your boost kicks in mid drift. Something I heard many new drifters complain about when they first get into a turbo drift car.

I see all too often the recommendation for AE86's as a starter drift car. While this isn't wrong I think it makes the new would be drifter's life slightly harder.
That being said I feel we should be steering new guys towards mazda based platforms. I believe it may ease the learning curve just a little and serve as a strong base for new drifters to grow on.

What do you think?

I could not agree more. I give out alot of Mazdaspeed Roadsters to beginners. I love every version of the RX7, except the RE Amimiya(sp) because I can't paint it, lol.
