The blue "X" is where the red line SHOULD pass up the black line.

Black line- Leader
Red line- Follower

Thips pass is only possible if either

a) You have a low-medium HP car with monster acceleration or

b) You have a large HP car like a Viper or Ferrari

In either case, you should keep as close to the lead car as possible and get as much speed(While maintaining your drift) to pass in front of the leader. So far I've only known 3 people who can do this.

Myself in my Miata
LMTLESS in his Viper
BLKJ GHOSTFACE in his NSXRGT

You probably can't see the line too well with how small it is so you may have to save it and open it in paint then zoom in.

You can also find the weaknesses in a standard drift line here:

All in all it's drifted perfectly but they go a little wide right before the second clipping point. Wink

While that might be the optimal passing point. Tandeming drifting was best described to me by BLKJ Mr. Fuji. It's a chess match, where the main goal is to out brake the other person and maintain control of the drift.

If you're in front you're goal is to stick to the tightest line, preferably the racing line or the line that yields the most amount of acceleration time / least amount of braking time. And not to achieve high angle cause that slows you down.

If it's for show tandeming you want to do exactly opposite to make it easier for the person in the back to get close. So the goal is to maintain a high angle lazy line while using the full width of the track.

While in the back the goal is to modify your line based off the driver in front. For the person that takes the early apex take a late and higher line to catch them on the inside on their exit. For the person that takes the late apex brake sooner and on the inside to take inside line. For the middle line you can take either late or early apex to either catch up on the entry or exit. It all comes down to a braking contest and who can keep control of their car.

The red line is what I hope WIKIDWAYS will use in the drift competition. I watched LMT do it last night and he was getting it down. I don;t encourage it as it could cost you the game if not done correctly.
