This is yet another thread continuing my attempts to get people on the forums and posting. As you can see I do this often. No less , this is not a thread for xbox live arcade games but rather full size arcade machines and pinball machines. Stories , memories , questions , for sale/wanted , etc.

Current machines in the arcade

Space Invaders - Cocktail
Moon Cresta - Cocktail
Speed Rumbler - Stand up
Super Baseball Double Play Homerun Derby - Stand up
KLAX - Cabaret

Past machines

STUN Runner Sitdown - SOLD

My dad has probably 6 or 7. The only ones I know are Excite Bike and Metal Slug 3. They're pretty fun though.

NOICE! I've always wanted a fullsize arcade game or two and a pinball machine. When I had my house (Pre-divorce, lol), I had a finished basement with an air hockey table, a ping pong table, and a poker table. Sold all of them when we split, had no place for em in the new apartment.......damn, I hate that b*tch all over again now, lmao.

P.S. Whats worse is that I ended up selling the poker table to my Bro-in-law, so every time I play poker there I'm reminded of it, lol.

Excite Bike on arcade is quite rare , hold on to that one. A dude I work with has killer instinct which is pretty sweet for drunken tourneys.

Excite bike rocks son. My buddies and I had a nes at our jam space and after practice we would make a track and then compete for the best time. Funny thing is there is a fastest time to be had because the game does allow a "perfect run." Laughing

Just got two new additions to my collection. A space invaders cocktail and a galaga clone cocktail.

I went to this dudes house to buy them and he had 5 working pinball machines and about 15 stand up arcades in his basement. I was like a kid at disneyland.

When I see a classic arcade machine it takes me back to playing it during childhood. It takes me back to the restaurant , hotel , or arcade I played it in and that makes me smile. People often say that arcade machines are dumb because you can play any of those games for free on a PC so why buy a huge machine for it? These people obviously didn't live during the golden age of arcades. By the time these young whipper snappers came up arcades had transformed into very gimmicky machines like DDR.
They grew up when the performance of consoles surpassed that of the average arcade machine. Sadly for them they never had the experience I did (and likely Tiger had) when you would go to the local arcade and have your balls blown off by amazing looking games.
The death of the arcade is a truly sad ordeal and it is to the point that I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a classic in a public place.
When I was younger there was a business called Bump and Tilt in my area that was a gamers wet dream. You paid something like $4 and then could play any of 50-75 arcade machines free all day. I tend to think that this is a large part of my addiction and nostalgia for them. At one point in time pinball was wildly popular and many companies produced revolutionary machines. Some of the bigger names included..

Atari Pinball

Bally Pinball

Capcom Pinball

Data East Pinball

Gameplan Pinball

Gottlieb Pinball

Pacific Novelty

Stern Pinball

Williams Pinball

Zaccaria Pinball

The only one left is Stern and its been a rough road. Have we seriously got to the point that we are so spoiled with technology that we can't enjoy pinball anymore? You may say "so what , who cares if there are no pinball machines?" The mere thought of that happening is beyond words for me to describe. While you can play better games on a console you will never beat having a real pinball machine EVER. No game console, PC, or anything will ever be able to recreate the fun of playing a real table. What is the point of all of this? Your guess is as good as mine really. The only thing I can say is if you see a pinball machine somewhere just put a few quarters in it. You never know , you might actually have a good time. As far as arcades are concerned , restore them don't trash them. There are many collectors such as myself out there who would love nothing more than to spend a weekend tearing apart an old machine.

End Rant.

The double seats are expensive machines , not to mention heavy and hard to get into a standard door way without chopping them which then kills their resale value. Arcades aren't all fun and games (ok well mostly lol) they break down a lot and such.

Shinobi is excellent
FatAgent - Arcades never cared much for you either.
