**This is in regards to the post I made in the team thread on FM.net today.**

Ok, here are my thoughts... it's getting serious.

Just a head's up since I haven't officially discussed this with everyone;

I'm bringing this up because I don't want to see what happened towards the end of FM2 repeat itself. It might just be me but I can almost see that coming as this game is dying ever so fast and team activity is at an all time low right now. (im hoping this is mostly because nothing is official yet and everyone is waiting on something to happen or waiting for FM4 to save the day.) We'll I say the time is now...

I've been brainstorming on video ideas since the launch of FM3 and lately I've tossed around the idea of maybe making a return of DIS quick 1-2 minute teaser/video which will basically display our future "return to Forza". This will NOT be another 10 minute video. (those days might be long gone)

Capturing has already begun. I've got the hardware and software back up and running. I have done what I need to do so far and now I'm turning to you all and asking for your help...

Let me start by saying that this is the team I want to be down for, and this is the team I respect as I did from day one. This is where I really need EVERYONE'S participation. I can't really do a "team vid" without you guys and I refuse to rely on as many non-team members as I had to for Light Em Up. If it were any of you, I would be on whenever I could be and I'd be down at the drop of a hat to help with your projects, as I have been in the past.

My concern is that if we cant pull ourselves together for something this simple right now, what is FM4 going to change? If we're a strong team we shouldn't have to rely on Turn10 to bring out the best of us.

Not only have I begun brainstorming on video ideas, I've been doing a lot of thinking about the direction of our team. I think we need to plunk ourselves back into the community (as shitty as it might be) and not segregate ourselves from it. I think a fresh new video is a great way to do that, and it might be a step in the right direction.

I've also decided my next video will be dedicated to my grandmother (Nana) who passed away last month. For a couple reasons: seven-one, the name I've used for my media is actually derived from her birthday... July 1st. (7-1). And she was probably the biggest fan of my videos. I have so much respect for her so I want this to be the best thing I've done yet.

So having that been said, what happens during this short video project, is important. I can go 2 directions with this video... And I think the level of participation will honestly reflect the outcome and the involvement as a whole in future projects.

FM3 has not brought me the best memories over the past 2 years, but we have had some good ones too. Likewise my experience with this game has DEEPLY influenced my ideas for a video and the potential music I may use to set the mood. I want this video to be positive and optimistic.

Now when I say team involvement I know everyone cant be on ALL THE TIME so you can also help in various other ways, maybe doing a couple runs down popular tracks and sending me replays that you think may look good. You can also suggest music or ideas as you think of them. While it's my project and Im the editor, it's still supposed to represent us all, so it would be cool if at one part of the video you could say "hey, I came up with that..."

I have about 50 clips as of right now with about 5-6 more replays to skim though. I would like to have 75-100 to have a good bit of material to work with. A couple of us have been trying to snag some shots here and there but it would be very cool if we could get a few more for a couple multiple car shots.

Guidelines for cars are similar to before. I would like the entire video to have a very real grassroots style feel to it. Slight damage is fine, simple paints, random stickers is cool, just make it look like an average car you'd see at a local drift event.

Designated times for being on...

I don't really agree with this so I'd like to ask you all what times/days you normally get on and we can try to flex it and fit everyones schedules as best we can.

Please reply with your thoughts/ideas and then post what time and days you normally get on.

I am normally online after 5-6pm till 9-10pm EST on weekdays and 10am-till whenever on some fridays and saturdays.

Thank you.

I'm never really sure when I'll be on, but I'll save some replays and send them your way. As far as all the other stuff, I've already talked to you about it and I'm on the Biopsy Bandwagon!

Yo, for me, it's hella simple. I get on for a little bit after work until the wifey gets home and the fam grubs up. I also get on most nights after the wifey passes out, usually sometime after 11:30/12:00. I can get on on Friday nights sometimes, as well as a bit of misc times during the day on the weekends, all depends on what we have going on. Now, I'd like to be clear on something. I was severely bored of FM3, to the point when friends go to play it, I get off the xbox. But, boopsy bear has inspired me some, and made perfect sense that if we can't get it together for this, how will we do so in FM4. To sum it all up Bops, if it fits inside ^^ those times, I'm down to club this baby seal son.

(No actual seals were harmed in the making of this post)

I can get on as much as I can when I get my Xbox back, it red-ringed on me so I'm just waiting on it to come come back. So when that happens I'll be down to help out.

I'm more than down to get shots whenever,
I also agree that we need to be more involved with the community even if there all douche nuggets.
(Looks like me and your grandma share the same birthday.Never really put to much thought on were 7-1 came from since im slow and all : P )

I'm always down, as I showed in the last video...

However, I can't do sh*t until I switch to Comcast.

You know Molicious is always down. I work 2 shifts, so depending on which shift I'm on reflects the time I'm on. If I work my morning shift I get off at 2pm and usually don't go to sleep until about 10 or 11..somedays 12 if I'm feeling froggy. And when I'm on evening shift I get off at 9 and can pull an all nighter haha. So ill always hop on to check on things and see if help is needed Wink

Ok for an update:

Things seem to be looking up.

The audio is pretty much laid out for the vid, and we currently have about 90 decent clips. (15-20 might be more or less artistic, still, non-drifting shots but are just as important.)

Some of these clips are also multiple angles of the same shot, which means we probably realistically have 25-40 different actual shots. (I haven't counted the actual number yet)

We have done a good amount of shooting already but there are a few more shots I would like to get done. There's a few on sidewinder I need. One where I need as many cars as possible. the hairpin on Tsukuba needs a TIGHT, SMOOTH 2 car tandem. I need someone to tandem several various shots on the Nur DLC track with me. The Maple shot on the sweeper also needs to be redone.

I want to get a few more extreme, suicide drifting shots with better camera angles and the final multi-car choku shot (like we did on Light Em Up on Sunset) which will this time be done on sidewinder.

That's all I can really think of right now. Thank you all so far for your help.

+1

If I'm on and don't respond, it's my roommate on my xbox so don't take it personally. Wink

Quick Update:

I have lost count on the amount of clips but I'm pretty satisfied with what we have so far. I still need a couple remaining shots that include the choku (criss-cross) shot on sidewinder, and a couple multiple car shots on sidewinder which need to be redone mostly due to my stupidity, lol.

I can probably have the video done next weekend if we can get these shots banged out this week.

Hit me up when you get on, whenever, I needs yo help!!!

Thanks guys.

Wanna throw this out there while it's fresh in my mind...

I was talking with Tora today and the topic of the vid came up. We tossed around a couple name ideas and right now the two I like the most are:

"Unbroken" and "Steadfast"

I wanna stick with a meaningful but one-word name this time around. I want this name to be significant of our focus, determination and presence to come on FM4.

If you have any ideas or opinions regarding this, please post here.

Thanks homies.

Just wanna say thanks for everyone with all the help this time around.

I don't think I've ever been this proud of our team as I am right now. While at times it's been challenging, we've pulled off a lot of shots with ease and had some good laughs in the process lol.

We pulled it together. Thanks again.

Good times ahead!

(I just noticed we need some updated sigs, lol.)

UPDATE: I just rendered out a VERY rough copy of the final video. I still think it needs a lot of work but we're running out of time to get shots and for me to edit.

I know this is just an announcement video of us returning but I have a thought.... should this also be a teaser for Unbroken or should this just say we're returning and goodbye FM3?

LMK asap lol.
