As some of you guys may know my account was recently hacked and I currently have no access to the DIS Wakko gamertag. I'm making this post to make you guys aware that from looking into it the hackers are getting your account through the Windows ID / Messenger feature from Microsoft. After just 1 google search I've seen hundreds of posts (atleast) since the month of August to current about gamers loosing control of their Windows Live ID and hundreds of dollars being leeched from their personal bank accounts. Xbox likes to play dumb to this whole ordeal claiming us giving our info to 3rd parties and or children in our houses buying content without our knowing, for which I owe my 5 yr old son a huge apology for charges last week. I'm not sure whats going to happen to my account or how Xbox plans to handle this but as for now all I know is I have lost my account for atleast a month but I have read stories about accounts being held for 79 days to being completely lost. If anything comes from this post I just want you guys on the forums to be aware of whats going on and to keep a close eye on your Windows Live ID account and check for unknow alternate email addresses added to your info. Well I'm out for a while guys and hopefully I'll be back on with all of you sooner than later.
