If any of you buy a new xbox slim 4gb and dont have the money for the 250 or 320gb hdd microsoft wants 100+ more dollars for but you still have your old external microsoft hdd, you can still use it and dont need a $20 transfer cable.
Theres also a video on youtube but its much longer than it needs to be.
Take the drive enclosure apart via the star screws then remove the drive from the bracket via the slightly larger star screws.
Make sure your xbox is off and unplugged lol.
Open your xbox slim's drive bay on the side and insert the old hdd. It should snap in snug.
Hook everything back up, turn the system on and check the storage. The drive should show up like a normal M$ hdd.
